Berries

These Raspberries are #1 grade plants about 6 inches tall. Plant in a sunny location in any well drained soil. Avoid planting in locations where tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, eggplant or strawberries were planted within the last five years. Dig holes 2-3 ft apart. Spread out the roots in the hole, backfill with soil, firm gently, and water thoroughly. Raspberries are self-pollinating. Do not plant black raspberries next to red raspberries as they can easily transmit viral diseases to each other. Ideally, plant the two varieties at least 75-100 feet apart.
