This is a known hardy plant, all male variety has resistance to root rot and a high tolerance to Fusarium – crown.  Spears are large and highly flavored.  Best grown in well drained spot in full sun but can grow in clay soils as long as it is sloped for drainage.  Does well in sandy soil.  Does not tolerate saturated soil conditions.  It does well in a high pH soils.  You should not harvest your asparagus until the third year of age.  This popular variety is highly productive for up to 20 years!
