An excellent specimen plant or can be used en masse for screening. Although not a true fir, it is a beautiful evergreen for the larger landscape. It is cone-shaped, similar to a spruce. The open, tiered branches are slightly pendulous. Frequently planted as a Christmas Tree due to its lovely shape and great needle retention.
