Galarina

Size 4-6′

Sun                 Dry/Moderate

Is a disease resistant variety with fruit similar to Gala in size, color and flavor (which is sweet and crunchy).  Difficult to tell them apart.  The main difference is that Galarina ripens two to three weeks later in late September.  It is much hardier (zone4).  The disease resistance makes this a great organic or low spray choice.  Excellent for pies, sauce, caramel apples and of course eating.      Mature Height:  10-12′

These trees are semi-standard and will come as bareroot stock.  Dig hole wide enough to accommodate the roots when spread out.  Plant with bud union 3 inches above the soil line to prevent the graft from rooting.  Fill the hole, and pat it down to eliminate air pockets.  Water thoroughly.  All apple varieties require other varieties of apples to pollinate and produce fruit.
