Thicket-forming shrub grows 4-6 ft high. Cream colored blossoms, reddish colored fall color and dark mature fruit. The fruit is eaten by a variety of wildlife including mammals, game birds, and many species of songbirds. Low growing habit provides good nesting for birds and small mammals. Excellent choice for dry soils in deep shade, but does well in a range of soil and light conditions. Michigan native plant.
