Size 12″ – 18″
Includes: 2 Redbud, 2 Allegheny Serviceberry, 2 Steeplebush, 2 Flowering Dogwood, 2 Black Chokeberry

Redbud (Cercis canadensis) Small native tree reaching 15-30 feet. Striking magenta pink flowers in April-May open before the leaves. Prefers moist soils but grows well on many other soil types. Moderately shade tolerant. Medium growth rate.

Allegheny Serviceberry (Amelanchier laevis) Small native tree reaching 15-30 feet in a wide variety of soils. Fragrant white flowers that cover the branches in April-May give way to purplish-red berries in early summer. The berries make delicious preserves and are devoured by many birds and other wild creatures. Grows best in a partially sunny/shady location, but will tolerate full sun.

Steeplebush (Spirea tomentosa) Native shrub grows at a moderate rate to 2-4 feet. Showy, rosy-purple flowers from July – September. Grows best in moist areas in full sun.

Flowering Dogwood (Cornus florida) Slowly reaches height of 15 – 30 ft with distinctive 4-petaled white flowers in May or early June. Berries in October provide food for wildlife and are a favorite of wild turkeys. Very shade tolerant. Grows best on rich, well-drained soil.
