Native shrub densely spreading 5-10 feet tall and wide. Rounded shape, distinctive peeling bark. White flowers in June/July are an excellent nectar source, followed by red seeds that are eaten by many varieties of birds. Loved by pollinators. Adapts to a wide variety of soil texture and moisture if in a sunny location.
