Like the Northern Spy, but a disease resistant alternative. This is good news for backyard growers – less spraying! The fruit is medium size, mostly red with a little yellow striping. The crisp, cream colored flesh is tangy and juicy, and like Northern Spy, is good for fresh eating, cooking, and cider. It stores well, too. Ripens in late summer, early fall. Needs a pollinator.
All apple varieties require other varieties of apples to pollinate and produce fruit.
