Wolf River
Wolf River
Wolf River apples are enormous, often weighing 1 pound or more. They are a pale red color over pale yellow skin with soft, tender flesh that is top-notch for baking whole and drying, one apple sometimes enough for a whole pie! Found in 1875 on the Wolf River in Wisconsin, this apple is known for its hardiness and disease resistance. Blooms mid-season. Ripens in late September.
